New phone, how do I get AIM on it?

Hiya,

I just picked up a HP iPaq 6151 (Cingular edition) the other day. It runs Windows PocketPC Mobile Edition 2003.

I used to have a palm based Samsung SCH-330i, and it had a program on it that was basically AIM (aol instant messanger) but for the phone. I haven't been able to find the same program for my new phone, but I figure it has to exist somewhere. I looked on the AIM site, and it hinted it existed, but there was no download link.

Does anyone know where I can get AIM for pocketpc?

Thanks of the reply but... both of those cost money.

AIM is free for every other platform, so I guess I just assumed it would be free for PocketPC as well. Is there no free AIM client for it?

Agile Messenger

Thank you. I googled for it but never came up with that... maybe I had the wrong search string. I will test this out once my unit has a good charge tomorrow.

OK, hmm, Agile Messenger installed fine, but it won't connect to AIM or Yahoo (the only services I have). My GPRS appears to work fine, I can connect to websites on mobile IE and all... but it just times out whenever Agile tries to log on... anyone else ever experienced this?

I have Agile Messenger configured on my MPx220 (Windows SP 2003 SE) and can connect to AIM.

At one point, I did have issues with it, and discovered I had my GPRS settings and proxy settings incorrectly setup on my phone. In fact, the phone only worked when connected via USB connecting to Web sites, and I didn't even realize it was using "pass-through" mode. My issue was I had flashed to the Asia ROM but had forgotten to revisit the GPRS, SMS, and MMS connection settings. Some of the documents about Asia ROM don't include this information, whereas others do.

I've got the same problems,i can connect to some web sites in IE,but some of them don't go in IE as well.I cannot connct to aglie m. and some others programs as opera mini. i think there is either problem with GPRS setting(i have the same like in modaco is), or o2 pay and go is restricted and you can recah and use just WAP. And maybe we can't do nothing, cause it is o2's problem....

I can fix it and can't find any help.

If anyone knows ,let me know please.....

BTW i have moto mpx220 and o2 pay and go ....

bye..
