Guest TheNerd Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I'm about to go abroad for a few months and before I go I think I should replace my decrepit Orange SPV e200. I've been monitoring news on this site for a while and it seems Orange UK will never offer the SPV M3000 that has been on offer elsewhere in Europe! Can anybody put me out of my misery and confirm that no SPV M3000 will appear within the next month? I'm almost at the point of dropping Orange and going for another mobile operator just for an HTC Wizard!
Guest hunyango_uk Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I'm almost at the point of dropping Orange and going for another mobile operator just for an HTC Wizard! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well i just did, free on t-mobile web n walk(200 mins w/ 40mb of browsing). isn't it a great deal and did i mention that the vario is for free. ;)
Guest peterweg Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 well i just did, free on t-mobile web n walk(200 mins w/ 40mb of browsing). isn't it a great deal and did i mention that the vario is for free. ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Looks like I'm going to have to do this as well. Orange don't have decent WM5 phone. Crazy.
Guest minty1978 Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 yep, i did the same, from C500 on orange, to Vario on t-mobile... smooth number transfer, very happy with phone and they got the first bill right too!!
Guest PayableOnDeath Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 yep, i did the same, from C500 on orange, to Vario on t-mobile... smooth number transfer, very happy with phone and they got the first bill right too!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yup same here ;) orange said that if i had talked to them before signing up for my new contract they would have tried to match the deal i was getting with t-mobile, would have loved to have seen them send me a Wizard when its not out here in the uk lol but late to try that thou lol :D
Guest chrisbpr Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 same here...no regrets ( so far ) about t-mobile or the vario.
Guest TheNerd Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Done it... Dropped Orange (after nearly 7 years!) All over a handset, that they actually sell, but just not in the UK. I suppose they'll bring it out here in a few weeks time, and I'll feel cheated, but that won't matter anymore because T-Mobile now have my custom. Bye bye Orange, bye bye cranky old Orange SPV E200. My MDA Vario arrives tomorrow. Hello funky world of wifi, Windows Mobile 5, proper keyboards (and probably loads of other exciting things I wished my modile always had). Now to rake through the posts and see what customisation is necessary... PS Why do I never push for a better deal? :??: :|
Guest Drewtech Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 yup same here ;) orange said that if i had talked to them before signing up for my new contract they would have tried to match the deal i was getting with t-mobile, would have loved to have seen them send me a Wizard when its not out here in the uk lol but late to try that thou lol :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I spoke to Orange first and the guy on the other end just gave up when I mentioned the free Co-Pilot I was getting as well. Still, I gave them a chance.
Guest muddy250 Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Same here, Orange not interested despite my having been a customer for 7 years so from C500 to MDA Vario I go tomorrow! Expect questions.... :)

Guest sleighty Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Watch out for the Orange SPV M3100... coming to the UK apparently in early May. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmmm... what are you not telling us? No sign of that model number on any websites,Orange or anywhere else, could it be the HTC Hermes? aka MDA VarioII
