sorry for not reading through all the dust posts...

My Orange C500 is developing quite a problem with dust under the screen. Its not disastrous yet, but is annoying.

I think I bought it around april/may so I'm guessing its still under warranty.

Do Orange acknowledge this problem and provide replacements?

tbh I'm fed up with the phone anyway, I'm going to trade it in for a SE or Samsung when the 12 month contract is up.

cheers,

TNM

Orange wont replace it.

Theres 3 ways to go about it. You can leave it as it is or send it back to HTC who will remove the dust and then seal it properly so no more dust gets in, or you can remove the fascia yourself (there is a guide on this site) and wipe away the dust.

:| can't be bothered doing that

seems a bit poor to me, the phone is obviously defective.. this sort of problem happening within the first year is unacceptable.

It is, I agree. However, cleaning it yourself is very easy and doesn't void the warantee so give it a go ;)

Its basically a brilliant phone, but the dust gets on my nerves, some of the button numbers are starting to come off, the green button hardly works and it sometimes stops sending and recieving calls/texts meaning that when I finally realise and reboot, I get about 200 voicemails and text messages coming though all at once!. :D
