Best way is to get a card reader that supports Memory Sticks (MS), put the card in the slot and connect it to your pc/mac.

Then just copy across to card from hard drive location. PSP will play .wma and .mp3 and will pick them up from the stick when back in the PSP

You don't say how you got the tracks on your PSP. Do you have a USB cable or did you download from internet?

Ok I have firmware version 2.6 on my PSP and here is what I have found so far.

You have to put the music files in a specific folder.

\PSP\Music

If the folder structure doesnt exist you can create it by connecting the PSP to your PC via a USB cable. Once the PSP is connected it should automatically create another drive letter in Windows explorer for you. If you select this drive and browse the drives contents you should see the folder structure shown above. If not create it.

Some programs such as Windows Media player (Version 10.0 in my case) struggle to maintain a connection via USB to the PSP when copying files...the USB connection is broken after it copies the first track for some reason, consequently the rest of the copy fails.

To get round this I manually copied my MP3 files in to the folder using the copy and paste function in Windows Explorer.

WMA files do not appear to be recognised in firmware version 2.6 for some reason and I could only manage to play MP3 files correctly.

Hope this helps ;)

You have to 'enable' the wma playing after updating to this firmware. think there is a setting in the settings part

Yeh, but to enable the WMA Playback you need a Wireless connection to activate it.

Hi the best way is to get a usb cable (which you can pick up mostly anyware) You rip the music off the cd by inserting it then press rip. Then you should make sure that they are 1. mp3 files as wma files dont play. You should then connect the psp to the computer via this cable on the home go to the end left file then to usb connect into this. a box should come up on the screen of the computer and you click on "open to view files" then in psp file you create a file called MUSIC. Then you go to the music section hover over the track you want and right click go to send to then removable disk - the psp - then go back to the psp folder put the music in psp folder then drag into music. They should be there.

I hope this has solved your problem

goochy1 ;)
