Guest chintusingh Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Hi all, I have been using the phone for few days now. Today suddenly the phone's sound stopped working. I noticed this when I made a call from another phone to the sp5. The sp5 didnt ring even though the visual screen notification was present. I then checked all sound related settings on the phone and saw that they looked fine. Then I went to media player to see if music could be heard - no luck the sound was gone even though media player was playing the wma file. At this point I decided to give restarting the phone a try and that fixed everything. Has anyone seen this? Thanks, Vikram
Guest Tech Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 ive not had this problem, did you install some software before all this happened? sometimes some software can do this - depending on the type of software - when the system refresh happens within the OS, it can make some things not work properly until a proper "reset" is done (switch off then back on)

Thanks, Vikram
Guest Eminos Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I've had the same problem with my Qtek 8310 a couple times. It might have happend when playing Doom on the phone. After a while, the sound dissappears, but I'm not sure what's cousing it. /E
Guest rossjamesparker Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I have had this problem when I have been using the headset and the phone doesn't register that the headset has been disconnected. It gets locked in headset profile... which can be solved only by a reboot. Maybe I have dodgy wiring.
