Guest vitixme Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I recently updated to ROM 1.49 and periodically get this icon on my iconbar. It is an inverted triangle. Can anyone tell me what this symbolizes? Thanks.
Guest James Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 well the only triangle symbol I can think of is the 'roaming' symbol.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Yep this normally means you are out of your normal network coverage and are now using another network to make your calls. Calls while set to roaming are at a higher rate. To get the roaming icon your network has to enable this feature, the updating of the ROM will not have anything to do with it.
Guest rtheil Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 The triangle is always on, on my phone. Same Rom version. I know I'm not roaming.
Guest duglious Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) The triangle is always on, on my phone. Same Rom version. I know I'm not roaming. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mine does the same thing and yes, it's the roaming symbol. But I'm not getting charged for roaming. It's a bug. Cingular said it happens to a lot of Motorolla phones. Very minor problem ovarall really. I'm not worried about it. Edited January 21, 2006 by duglious
