Orange SPV C500 & Holux GPSlim 236

Hi all, I'm new to the forum so please go easy! I've recently purchased a Holux GPSlim 236 GPS receiver on the understanding that it would work with my Orange SPV C500.

Having just tried to install the GPSViewer software I am encountering problems. The install to my desktop PC works fine, however, I receive an error message on the phone itself saying that the software was not intended for the device.

I've followed the manual as best I can but it describes the use of a Blue Tooth manager found on Pocket PC which I can not find on the SPV. I have found two Bluetooth setup screens in the configuration menu and have turned inbound and outbound com ports on.

Have any of you used the Holux with an SPV C500 and if so could you give me some pointers in how to get it set up?

Just bought one of these myself and will need to pair it with a C500. Did you manage to get this sorted?

I did manage to pair it - you go to the bluetooth section and then from the menu pair it - I had to use the factory password of 0000.

The only problem that I experienced was installing the software. I've still not managed to sort that out and have given up on it.
