Guest mini_man Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Yes I know there is topic above me. I do have xp sp2 but I cannot locate my microsoft bluetooth driver help!!
Guest Tech Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 what device is the bluetooth device? have you installed it? (connected it?) does Windows find it? Windows may not have the drivers therefore install the drivers of the bluetooth device
Guest mini_man Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 hmm its odd as everyone else's xp sp2 pcs claim that windows find the drivers by itself therefore they get bluetooth signs in the taskbar, When the device is plugged in it tells me its found ISSC (the device). The only way it will find drivers is by installing the cd but if i do that i cant get active sync set up properly as i want wireless internet on my phone.
Guest mini_man Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 has anyone else used this device from this seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bluetooth-USB-Dongle...1QQcmdZViewItem please help this very annoying.
Guest greedy43 Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 has anyone else used this device from this seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bluetooth-USB-Dongle...1QQcmdZViewItem please help this very annoying. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I bourght one of these yesterday, They are rubbish, they are hardly compatible with ay phone. I got mine from a different seller, I am trying to get a refund. He said in the auction that mine was 30 meter range, But i hve since found that its only ten. So I am going for a refund on that, as well as the fact that is hardly compatiable with any phone. Can any recomond a good dongle to use with the C550?
Guest mini_man Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 its not rubbish, it works fine with my spv c550 its just its not compatible with the xp drivers, it will work with active sync but you just have to play with it. Bluesoleil the software that comes with it sucks, but thats just standard. How can you say it doesnt work with the phone.

Guest mini_man Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 i pressed the big button in the middle of the software and turned my phone on to discovery, paired them and then clicked for them to share com port settings
Guest b0bby Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 i think i have a similar dongle labelled differently. mine is registered by windows device manage as ISSC I have been reading around... i think theres something wrong with my windows i have SP2 but i have no 'My Bluetooth Places' No bluetooth icon in control panel. i think my windows installation is missing something. ;) i cant get active sync to work at all with this BlueSoleil software
Guest mini_man Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 oh rite, i just nailed it it works perfectly with active sync. enable discovery mode on your phone just pair the pc and the phone make sure outgoing port is active restart pc and phone search for the phone open active sync on the pc and tell it to use the com port 8 then connect via bluetooth on the phone via active sync and hopefully they will connect with eachother
Guest abhayseth Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 yes using the same - Works perfectly - Try the Jeyo Outlook software for sms & you will be thrilled - i think its a neat app to dock your sms's & send & recv them as well.
Guest bzzlink Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 try uninstalling the drivers that came with the dongle, and do a 'scan for new hardware' from device manager. right click on the USB root and 'scan for changes' if necessary. windows should find the MS bluetooth stack and automatically install it
Guest mini_man Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 seriously i have tried that, i even did some registry editing which didnt work either
Guest greedy43 Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 I got a replacement ISSC dongle, and it still doesn't work correctly. So I got a CSR one with widcomm drivers, works perfect. The ISSC ones are cheap and nasty, Better paying a bit more for a decent one, as I found out.
Guest moosery Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 TDK bluetooth dongles are excellent, accepted as probably one of the best
Guest mini_man Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 not particually bothered anymore as setting up with bluesoleil now takes about 5min!
Guest Toasted Logic Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 I don't see how you got it to work! I've been struggling with the same crappy ISSC bluetooth dongle bought off ebay. Bluesoleil is a headache. I got it to connect via serial fine on com port 6 but I can't get my phone (Cingular 2125/c600) to see "Activesync" under services. All it sees is "Serial Port", which I have checked. Still can't sync though. I might just get another one and consider this a loss.
Guest mini_man Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 well firstly tell active sync on the pc to look at com 8 and tell your phone to connect through bt on the phones active sync unfortnatley my pc stopped recognising the bluetooth device (windows me). so after formatting my pc 3 times and reinstallin windows it 3 times it still wont work. Although it will recognise it downstairs on my xp pc but tht wont connect via bluesoliel either. I may get another one as well
