Connect to GPRS over Bluetooth

Hi,

I'm have a Magician (JAM) which I use primarily as a PDA but also as a personal phone line. I also have a Sony Ericsson phone provided by my work.

I have been trying to connect to GPRS over bluetooth to use the comparatively large screen on the Jam for Internet access. Every time I try I get an error message saying that the Bluetooth connection could not be made.

Does anyone know if this is standard behaviour for WM 2003SE and if there is anyway to achieve the desired result.

I can connect make a GPRS connection from my laptop, my old Palm, and from an O2 XDA Exec that I borrowed for a day so I know it's not a problem with the phone.

Pls check the following..!

Does your Active Sync recognise the Bluetooth connection?

R u running both the apps together?

Have u created a DUN connection with the Bluetooth modem?

Ensure the TCP-IP settings on the modem ensure there is NO IP or DNS mentioned.

Check with ur operator if they require advanced GPRS settings required for a dial up connection?

read the following thread for the active sync problem if any
