start up problems

So, here's the deal. My phone (Orange SPV) suddenly didnt want to open any programs any more, it said: "critical part is missing or not enough memory available". It did so even for OS apps, like the quickmenu. So i thought i was just really low on RAM, and restarted the phone. Now it keeps showing the Orange sunset screen, even when i kept it starting up overnight ;) .

So i searched this forum, to see if there were others with this problem. The advice was to start a hard reset, then select no. So i tried a hard reset. This is what happened:

-It showed card found like normal

-It said "Press any key to enter boot loader" , but not "Press action button to enter diag mod".

-No matter what i do, it goes to a 3 colored screen with "Canary MV 1.10", where it freezes.

I think i did something wrong in the hard reset, but is there any way to fix this? I really dont want to buy a new SPV :D

EDIT: okay, so i got the hard reset to work, by pressing and holding action beofre going to the 3 colored screen. It reset IPSM, and it said passed. After that, it returned to the menu. I couldnt select End ony any page, so i turned it off. I think it works again now.. it's acting like a random re-lock, and i lost my contacts i think.

A hard reset will revert the phone back to it's factory defauls and so you will lose all your applications and contacts etc.

A hard reset is good for getting rid of all the junk once in a while.
