Guest Linki Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Hi, One of our users had taken their iMate Jam skiing over the holiday period. The device has been subjected to temperatures of -20 or less. Now, the specification states that the operating temperature is -20 to 85 degrees C. Would exceeding these guidelines cause fatal issues with the device? Basically his device appears to be dead, I haven't had a chance to test with another battery yet. Regards Chris
Guest MECX Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 The LCD screen may not have liked the cold, its normally the humidity that kills them tho, taking it from the cold environment to a hotter environment can cause condensation inside the device. The battery should be ok (used to do environmental testing for LCD TV's so dont know much about batterys)
