Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Madbeetle have released a beta for it's improved animated homescreen plugin which is designed for Smartphone qvga decives. We've created a new animated homescreen plugin, and before lauching it, we're looking for some feed back. What we're after is to get some people trying it out on their devices and designing some homescreens to see how it all hangs together. Key features are, you can overlay the plugin over other plugins so you can have better layouts, more than one animation per homescreen, and its backwards compatable. Not only have we got the new animation plugin, but weve created a homescreen designer to go with it, the Home Screen Animation Tool. Guest madbeetle Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 (edited) Sounds cool....and it also works for non-qvga phones? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The plugin will work on non qvga and QVGA phones (2003 & 2005), but the home screen designer is only designed for QVGA phones. It lays out the plugins for QVGA phones. But technically you could use it, just set a 176x180 background and layout the homescreen so it fits that bitmap. Then edit the xml it produces and change the targetwidth & height property. Haven't tried it, but I think it'll work, else you can still use the tool to design the animations, then put the xml togther by hand for low res phones. Edited January 3, 2006 by madbeetle
