smt5600 synch to WM10 Lockup?

I love my SMT5600. I love to load music to my 1 GB MiniSD and listen to my collected music.

I use an MS Windows XP SP2 PC to hold over 3000 collected MP3's. I use the latest MS Windows Media 10 on that machine. I use a Windows Mobile 2003 Smartphone. I use MS Activesynch to connect the two. Despite the use of 100% Microsoft products, I still experience lock-ups when downloading music to my phone. At some point during the download, the phone will lock-up, stalling the download. All screen savers and other potential interuptions are inactive.

When this happens, I must disconnect the phone and remove the battery to get the phone going again, since it is unresponsive to all button input. With this "soft reset" completed, I can re-dock the phone and pick up the sync where it got stuck in WM10. It might go for another few songs or it might go 50 more songs, but it will lock-up again before I am finished the synch. I may need to repeat this process 5 or 6 times to load the full 150 songs to my Gigabyte of capacity.

Anybody else have this problem and find a solution which allows the thing to take on a full load of music without all this babysitting?
