Guest richardlai Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Hello everyone! I am begging for help here: Recently I have reinstalled Windows on my laptop, installed Activesync 3.8 and then installed Office 2003. I plugged in my T-Mobile SDA and was hoping to be able to set up a partnership like it had before, but bizarrely when the sync options window popped up, I was given the option to synchronize with the Inbox only but not Calendar, Contacts and Tasks etc. (see attached screenshot) So what I did was I uninstalled both Office and Activesync, then reinstalled Office and then Activesync, but it still had the same problem. I even tried it with my old Office XP SP1 and still no way out. What on earth is going on here? Any ideas of how to make the tick boxes appear?
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 I had the reverse of your problem (could sync Contacts etc, but not Inbox) IRRC the *only* solution was a Hard Reset
Guest richardlai Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 IRRC the *only* solution was a Hard Reset <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be annoying... There must be a way round somehow...
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Well your problem is different to the one I had, but I spent about a day trying to get around it before finally giving up and doing the Hard Reset I tried things like restoring from a backup, deleting the partnership, reinstalling Outlook etc etc. Nothing worked. When I did it I did a "bare metal" rebuild of the phone and then took a Sprite Backup of it for future use!
