Guest piston broke Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Just got my first pocket pc phone (orange M1500) after using a nokia communicator for a few years. The only thing i miss is on the nokia i could send DMTF tones and used them quite a lot. The thing i used them most for is to top up my tunnel pass instead of pressing 1 entering account entering pin etc etc had nokia so i could ring up then send tones and all key presses were eliminated Is there anyway on the pocket pc phone to do this have looked through the manual and can't find out how to do it Any help would be appreciated
Guest Confucious Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Never really thought aboiut it, but couldn't you just record the tomes as an MP3 or WMA and play it?
Guest fraser Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Yes, of course you can!! You can enter tones manually during a call by pressing the number keys on the screen. If the window is not open, press the green dial key to get it. You can also store numbers with the DTMF, I used to do it for my phone banking. I can't remember the notation, but * and # can be used for delays etc.
Guest piston broke Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Had some time to search the net and found if you make a note on contact page with the tones set up like this DTMF:12345 then when you ring up and are asked to choose options just tap screen on dtmf link realy useful when you have 6 options one being a 16 digit number
Guest fraser Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 That sounds interesting, how does it work? Do you make the entries on the contacts "notes" page or something?
