Guest scsi Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) Hi huys, I have just added an SP5 and a 1gb memory card to my shopping cart at Expansys, and will hopefully place an order this weekend. One thing that troubles me, though, is the alarm part. I have had two different PocketPC's (both with wm2003), and know that the alarm clock there couldn't be trusted at all. It stupedly realied on the system volume, most of the times resulting in an oversleeping. The snooze function was terrible and it wasn't possible to place any indicator on the today screen, you didn't even know if it was enabled or not. From all the screenshots I have seen of WM Smartphone, I realize that there now is an indicator next to the clock, when the alarm is enabled. But is it's volume still controlled by the system volume? Is there a proper snooze function? And most important of all, is the OS stable enough not to crash during the night, and not sound the alarm? These concerns may sound stupid, but I have used my mobile phones as alarm clocks for years, and it is very important to me that I can continue to do so, without any problems. What do you guys say? Guest merwin Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I would check out CityTime Alarms. It has options that can override the system settings and ring even if your phone is on silent (although I've never actually tried it on silent). It's a VERY good application, for a very cheap price http://www.codecity.net/prodctasp.htm
