Guest thereaperman Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 you can pick up a bluetooth gps unit from ebay for about 50 ;)
Guest polo_boy Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 well as little as possible really, but it must be bluetooth!! thats my only criteria! polo_boy
Guest fraser Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 I paid approx £60 for a BT GPS from Ebay (once postage & packaging was paid for). It was a german company that was selling them.
Guest Peppermint Hippo Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Pay cheap - pay twice! Thats my motto. Worth spending a little bit more for quality Holux GPSlim 236 (best on the market if you ask me) from www.clove.co.uk - good price as well.

It's a SIRFSTAR III chip, which is the most sensitive on the market and will pick up a signal quickly where other units may find nothing at all. Mine works OK from within the house, while a friend's Navman 570 finds nothing at all in the same position. Mine cost £75 delivered from a trader on eBay. It works superbly with my MDA Vario and TomTom 5.21
Guest PJDelaney Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 I went for cheap and cheerful and it works perfectly, got one from Mobilefun.co.uk for 40 quid with my £2.50 P&P refunded for joining their email list. Its only 12 channel but it works fine with TomTom and my Vario plus the in-car charger supplied uses mini USB which also charges the phone, double whammy!
