Hi, everybody. This is the first time I'm posting something on this site. I have recently purchased a MPX200 here in Brazil. I couldn't resist to the temptation of upgrading it to windows 2003 and I did.

Everything is workin fine except for the "G" indicator. I only apears when I start a GPRS connection. So, here are my questions:

1- Is this normal or at the moment of acessing the network it should recognize the existence of GPRS coverage without any data connection atempt?

2- If this behavior is not correct, how to fix it?

I did the change becouse I need T9 in portuguese. I use SMS and IM a lot.

Is there a windows 2002 with t9 in braziliand portuguese? Is there any away to install a t9 dictionary into this sistem?

Thanks in advance.

Firstly welcome to the site ;)

There should be two 'G' indicators on the Mpx200. One is a Big 'G' in a square in the top bar of the screen, the second appears in the same p[lace as the little aerial symbol along with the signal strength bars. The Big 'G' indicates that GPRS connection is available (note: it does not always appear immedately, sometimes you need to connect to the GPRS network first - it should then stay on). The second small 'G' should only appear when using GPRS - this will stay on for a little while after use, or you can double tap the end call button and this will end the connection.

as for the dictionaries for Portuguese i'm unable to help you there :D

all the best

Do you think if I get back to WM2002 this indicator would work fine? What would be the better ROM and where can I get it?

Thanks ;) .
