Guest 240zman Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) Just wondering if the charger from an Audiovox SMT5600 can be used on a Qtek 8310 or Imate sp5. Thanks Edited January 5, 2006 by 240zman
Guest Tech Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 unlikely - use the charger supplied with the phone package.
Guest mupwangle Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I don't know the connectors on the 8310 but my c500 charger (which is just USB C) has been working fine on my S110 for a few months. Obviously if the connectors match, you plug it in and it explodes - then don't blame me - I'm an idiot. ;-)

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Works for me; I have been charging my 8310 on my SMT 5600 charger for some days now with no apparent ill effects. It has the same voltage and amperage as the OEM unit, so it should be pretty safe. One reason is that I did not want to use the bulky adapter that came with the OEM charger :|
Guest fluffcat1 Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Just wondering if the charger from an Audiovox SMT5600 can be used on a Qtek 8310 or Imate sp5. Thanks Yep, the specs / part numbers for the UK supplied chargers of the C500 ( 5600 twin) and SP5m are identical. I also use motorola USB chargers with no issues. Richard
