SPV M500 & Tom Tom

I have just purchased Tom Tom Navigator 5 for my SPV M500. It works great. My only question is that I have copied the software from the 128MB SD card and stored it on my computer as advised.

I have then tried to install the software onto my 512MB card which has plenty of room on it and where all my applications are stored, but Tom Tom will not find it on there. It just keeps telling me there are no maps.

Does anyone know why and is there a way round it? ;)

Have you checked where they got copied to?

The TomTom folders need to go into the Root folder on the 512Mb card, if you copy them anywhere else (such as My Docs or Program Files) they won't be found.

I think the reason the copied files don't work is because when you copy the files via active sync it will rename some files because of their extension.

Might be able to remove the extension filter to overcome this. or copy the files from the 128 using a sd card reader not active sync
