C600 - SLC or MLC mini SD?

Just ordered an SPV C600 and I'd like to get a 512Mb mini SD card to go with it. Ultimately, I would like to install Tomtom. Having read the forums I'm now worried that MLC cards are a bit dodgy (especially for Tomtom, but generally a bit flaky) and would like an SLC card. But only 1Gb+ cards seem to be SLC. Any ideas whether there are 512Mb SLC cards available in the UK? The Mobymemory one definitely isn't - I asked them.
