Controls for Street Duel on SPV C500

Has anyone successfully run Street Duel Underground Racing on an SPV C500? I just bought the game, it runs fine but I am having problems setting the controls. The initial problem with the default controls (brake is # key) is that I couldn't turn and brake at the same time. I contacted the developers and they said its a known problem with the C500 that there are very few key combinations where you can press 2 keys at the same time (and have them both work!).

The best I have managed to get so far is to put the brake function onto the top left softkey, and the only other key I can find that works at the same time as left/right is * so I put the handbrake there. It basically works except that after using the handbrake, often I cannot turn left until some other key (not sure which one!) is pressed. The developers said it sounds like a keyboard driver problem again, certain key combinations or sequences cause it to lock up.

Has anyone got a control mapping that works, or is there another solution?
