Guest murb Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) Ok, my phone is frozen. It boots up, first shows the Audiovox screen then a 10 seconds later it swtiches the the Windows Mobile splash screen and the nothing. It just stays there. Eventualy the screen goes dim then out, though pressing buttons turns the backlight back on. The phone is just frozen. Pressing the power button doesn't shut off the phone, I have to remove the battery. I've tried hard resetting the phone a dozen times but it doesn't help, the phone reboots after the reset, and it still freezes up. Anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to have to replace this phone. Edited January 6, 2006 by murb
Guest elliotboney Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 did you do anything when this happened? if a hard reset isn't working, you might have to flash the phone with the OS, SPL, etc... again to get it working. What service do you have? orange, cingular, att?
Guest dpenley Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 What a coincidence, mine did the same thing last Friday. I was listening to some music, the screen went blank and it powered off. When I went to restart it is goes through the audiovox screen, then hangs on the Windows mobile screen. No lick with the hard reboot. My carrier is ATT Wireless. Cingular wants me to buy a new phone since this one is... two weeks outside of warrenty!
Guest elliotboney Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Yup, that is exactly why i ended up having to use the imei-check site to unlock my phone because for some reason the part of the phone memory that holds the IMEI # as well as other stuff was jumbled up. Once i did that, i could flash the phone with any image and it was workin again pm me if you need some help with that
