Guest jasnewt Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) Hi, I was forced to do a hard-reset on my C550. I now need to set up an outgoing com port in the Bluetooth settings, but the option is always greyed out. I can set up an incoming port OK. Any ideas how I can do this? My reason for asking is that Tom Tom will not start up properly. Just freezes at the point where it normally would start up Bluetooth on the phone (on the initial green disclaimer screen). I am assuming it is the lack of outgoing com port that is causing it to freeze. Any help would be appreciated! Jason. Edited January 6, 2006 by jasnewt
Guest hey_tim Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Jason, check this thread http://www.modaco.com/c550_tomtom_not_work...n_-t234152.html sounds like the same problem as you're having. My tomtom works fine with just an incoming port. hth Tim.
Guest jasnewt Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Hi Tim, That's brilliant mate! Stuck a 0K file in the folder specified and it works fine now. I thought I had seen a thread about Tom Tom freezing at that screen but couldn't find it. I read something elsewhere about com ports being a potential problem and assumed that was the cause of my issue. Thanks for the quick response! Jason.
