Text mess. alert for emails

Phone: Audiovox 5600

Issue: Can't get text messages to alert me when I get an email

Email in question: Yahoo!

So far I have:

Set up the yahoo system to alert me for emails

Called Cingular to make sure my plan would allow for it (it does)

Searched my phone, but I can't seem to find out how to set it up from here

Can anyone please give me some advice? ;)

You dont set it up on the phone. You need to set up a service. Go onto your Yahoo account. Go to alerts and you can set it up there.
