Guest scsi Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I know that iMate is supposed to have better tech support, something I really don't think I'll need. Qtek, on the other hand, are said to release updates alot faster that imate. This could be concidered a big plus, I think. 8310 is about £40 cheeper that the sp5, but I think that the imate logo on it looks better, hence, it looks a bit nicer that the qtek. The question being here, what do I get for the extra £40 pounds if i go with iMate, other than a nicer logo on the phone?
Guest b0bby Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 what rip off places are you getting them from? My imate SP5 was cheaper than any Qtek 8310 i could find. phones2udirect.co.uk £304 delivered next day.
Guest scsi Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Expansys. The Qtek costs £299 and the iMate is £339. Thanks for the tip about phones2udirect, could have wasted £40 by ordering from Expansys... That should pretty much make iMate the brand of choice. Right?
Guest vman69 Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 I am looking at the i-mate SP5 myself mainly because Im in Australia and they seem to be the only brand we get over here. Australia sucks for smartphones we seem to only get the PDA's and most of them are the old models anyway. Anyway over here AU$798.95 for the SP5 and that is the most recent model I can find here unless I want to start buying stuff from oversea's because it might be cheaper.
