Guest Honest John Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 (edited) OSPS are advertising that they can do a C600 with up to 7 months free connection. They have shown them as being in stock for 2 weeks now. My experience:- December 30th Me:- Have you got the C600 in stock? OSPS:- We have them in stock at the Carphone warehouse and will have them in by Tuesday. Would you like to order one now? Me:- I will wait till Tuesday. OSPS:- They could all have gone by then. I advise you order now. Me:- Thanks. But been caught before. I'll wait. Tuesday 3rd January Me:- Have you got the C600 in stock? OSPS:- We have them in stock at the Carphone warehouse and will have them in by Tomorrow. Would you like to order one now? Me:- I was told on the 30th you would have them in by today. OSPS:- Definitely in by tomorrow. Can I put an order in for you? Me:- I will wait till Tomorrow. OSPS:- They could all have gone by then. I advise you order now. Me:- Thanks. But been caught before. I'll wait. Wednesday Me:- Have you got the C600 in stock? OSPS:- We have them in stock at the Carphone warehouse and will have them in by Tomorrow. Would you like to order one now? Me:- I was told on the 30th you would have them in by yesterday and yesterday that they would be in by today. OSPS:- Definitely in by tomorrow. Can I put an order in for you? Me:- I will wait till Tomorrow. Thursday See Wednesday. Friday Me:- Have you got the C600 in stock? OSPS:- 4 - 5 week delivery. Me:- I was told on 4 occasions that your head office - the CarPhone warehouse had them in stock and were delivering to you this week. OSPS:- They haven't had the deliveries they were promised by Orange. Me:- Have you had any in at all? Ever? OSPS:- Not that I am aware of. Me:- So the tale of the Carphone Warehouse having them in stock was a porky? OSPS:- Well that's what we were told. A couple of things. 1. If you have actually received a C600 from OSPS, I'd love to know. 2. If you have one on order, don't hold your breath. 3. If you are holding your breath get your nearest and dearest to book the undertaker now. It seems that regardless of change of ownership, the "sales techniques" of the failed estate agents that they employ to push the products they don't actually have in stock hasn't changed. (Not every sales person they employ is like that. But the majority I have to deal with are either misled by their managers about the true stock position, or without personal integrity). Ironically, when they do have stock in, they are still the best deal in town. Edited January 7, 2006 by Honest John
Guest mcwarre Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Ironically, when they do have stock in, they are still the best deal in town. When you don't have to threaten the gits with the Small Claims Court as it took (twice, albeit admittedly out of 6 claims in total) me after 2 months of trying to get cashback. Gits. Would never use them again. Mind you they keep ringing me offering deals. When I told the last person about having to threaten court action and they still asked 'what type of phone would I like'? Kermitts................
Guest azamsaghir Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Had one bad experience with them a while back when I wanted the SPV C550. Quick in taking orders when they know there is no stock. Lies...lies! It does not matter anymore if they are the best deal in town...I have washed my hands off them! Rgds Azam
