Guest Isoteric Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 My buddy tried to update his Motorola MPX220 and the update went awry, and now the phone turns on to nothing but a message that says; MDSXL-4-3280.XL Download Incompletely I have searched, and searched, and searched like a madman to try and find a solution to this problem, but have been, as of yet, completely unsuccessful. Does anyone know if there is anything that can be done? I know about the boot information that you can get to by pressing the left arrow key and then powering up, and I was hoping that I might find something that would allow me to interface with the phone from that point since it knows when the data cable is connected, but I can't find anything like that what-so-ever. If anyone has any solution other than sending the phone off to get fixed, I would greatly appreciate it.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Have you tried running the update again?
Guest Isoteric Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 can't do it.. the moto update won't see the phone. neither will activesync. the computer still see's it, but i can't do anything with it. that's why i'm stuck.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 With updating Activesync is not needed but if the actual moto update is not working then the only thing would be to send it back for repair.
