Guest cldchc Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I have just bought a new SPV C600 and i setup an automatic GPRS connection every 1 hour to receive email but gprs connection never disconnect after send/receive email. i have to manually press red key. Before C600 i had C500 and it automatically disconnect GPRS connection after automatic send/receive email. I have had similar problem with c500 when upgrading new rom ( so i downgrading to original release) so i think problem can be solved by some registry key modding or other software to control gprs. Can anyone help me?
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 I get this on my C600. If I send a picture message it activates GPRS (small G next to signal strength), but when it's finished sending it the icon seems to stay there. I hope it's not actually sending/receiving data all the time. Is there a way to disconnect this as you could do with the C500?
Guest Pagemakers Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Don't worry. It's not and it's not costing you anything.

Guest Pagemakers Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Does nothing on WM5. The point is staying connected to GPRS costs nothing. My SP5 disconnects and I wish it wouldn't. However, have a look at this. It shows you how to keep GPRS permanently connected. If you do the reverse I would image it would force your connection to disconnect: http://www.modaco.com/SP5_How_to_keep_GPRS...ed-t230056.html
Guest cldchc Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 i need to auto disconnect every automatic send/receive email. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes, but it use more battery life and discarge so quickly
Guest Pagemakers Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Ages ago I did piles of tests on this very subject and i never found that staying connected much much difference at all. Try it yourself. Anyway. If you try my method above you should be able to do what you want.
