Guest ChrisJM Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Someone has decided to clone the google search plugin that comes with the New treo 700w. This Plugin allows you to search the web using google from your Today screen. and heres the good part, it's free! ;) The plugin allows you to search the web from the today screen. This seemed useful, and I wonder why no one ever thought of it before. I've often debated which to leave my homepage on in PIE, yahoo for me to check my mail and the like, or google, to do quick info lookups. Yahoo has won, but now I could have the best of both worlds. For more info and to download click here.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Sounds sweet More info and download here: >>HERE

Guest Disco Stu Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Very quick response and no need to have GPRS pre-connected. I fear this will make cheating at pub quizzes so much easier for the less-scrupulous ! ;)
Guest ChrisJM Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 hehehe ;), it is really cool! good plugin
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Somthing I just found out is that you can type 08054 Movies in google and it will return all movies in your area. I'm sure there were other keywords that can be used as well like weather, etc. I have never used Google so much before now....but I will start.
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 See now I want this for smartphones.

Guest ChrisJM Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 you could try contacting the developer and asking as on his blog he asks for requests ;)
Guest amirjs Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I have installed this on the MDA Pro, it appears in the today screen fine but if i enter a search string of more than one word only the first word is submitted to google - anyone else experienced this behaviour? Cheers..
