Firstly, sorry if this is posted in the wrong section - please feel free to move it if it is.

My contract with orange is about to run out, and after speaking to orange they've told me i'm in band 1 for upgrades - and I would be better off cancelling a starting a new contract, which is fair enough.

However, i want to keep my number - and the only way to do this is to port it to PAYG, and then back to orange, which according to the orange rep i spoke to will take up to 6 weeks.

I'm tempted to go to o2 or another provider, so i can transfer the number straight across, however i want to stick with the HTC phones - which causes another dilemma.

I currently have a C500, which is great - but I'm considering either a C600, M1500, M2000 or M5000.

The C600 is available for free online, the M1500 is £99, the M2000 is £199 and the M5000 is currently out of stock, but £250 in the shops, so i'm guessing its around £200 online.

The guy in the shop told me the M1500 and M2000 are the same spec, both 533mhz with the same screens... is this true, if so why the price difference?

I'd love to get the M5000, but is it worth the extra cash?

Also, is there anywhere giving a proper specification/comparision for each phone - the orange web site is all marketing and no technical info.

Any help would be appriciated ;)

- Chris
