GoodOTAInstaller and memory

I am about ten days into my happy ownership of the Cingular 2125.

I have recently download Good Link's OTA installer (goodOTAinstaller.exe) and I am having trouble installing because I do not have enough memory (requires 12 MB and I only have 6 free)

I havent installed other programs which I can remove...the reason I suspect that I dont have enough memory is that I have a lot of contacts.

I bought a 1Gb mini-SD card today to try and remedy the problem.

Now I am lost.

Can I either move my contacts dB to the memory card or install Good to the memory card or free up memory in some other way?

Thanks for help with what I know is likely a simpleton's question. I have read through a couple of hundred posts here this evening and I have just not been able to get the answer.

So I have now had conversations with techs at Cingular, Good and HTC. While the problem is not yet resolved, I have learned a couple of things:

--Good cannot be installed to storage card. Must be installed on phone itself

--HTC will tell you to re-write the phone's ROM but this is pointless

--GoodlinkOTA has technical issues with some phones, including the 2125

--For phones on which OTA will not work, you need to provision the client by cable

That's what I have learned. Now on to cable provisioning...

from what i understood, the issue is (assuming you have one of the earlier 2125s) HTC made a mistake and the phone needs to be reflashed, supposedly with a rom provided by them.

Hi Megalli,

Did you ever find out if the Contacts DB could be moved to the SD card on the 2125, and how to do it?

Best...
