I'm constantly opening my phone to find it's frozen, and for example, just now, I got a text, and the phone just kept vibrating, until I reset it, because it had frozen when getting a text.

This is not on! I'm on my second handset now, and been using it all of 5 minutes, and it's frozen already! I was waiting 5 working days for a new phone, so am now out of the 'cooling out' period, so what can I do? I want to cancel the contract, as the phone is clearly faulty, and since they've both had problems, then I dont want another one!

Would the K-Jam be any different, and worth the switch? I need a RELIABLE phone, not something I cant trust to do basic phone functions.

Never had a problem with mine. Strange you've had 2 faulty ones. Just out of interest, has it got the latest ROM?

If you didn't have the phone and this is a replacement surely your 14 days starts from when you receive the replacement - I'd try cancelling if that's what you want.

The new one has got the latest rom on, and the old one had a corp install.

It hasnt frozen again today yet, but we'll see. I'm gonna test it for a couple of days to help me decide.

Mine has a corporate install (old ROM) and I am running with an Orange USIM with no problems.

With just one device I would say it was faulty, with both devices displaying the same fault, could there be some other reason? It seams to much of a coincidence for you to get 2 faulty machines when there are so few other complaints.

Have you installed any other s/ware? Are the texts that lock your machine "normal" texts - not from some spammer or from a foreign network or unusual in any way?

I am sure you have considered all possibilities, maybe you have just been very unlucky.

Lets ope this one doesn't freeze again - if it does, let us know.

Good luck.

Yep, I'll keep you updated.

As of this morning, it still hasn't frozen again, but we'll see. It's not when I'm using it a lot, it's when it hasn't been used for a while, so when I go on my lunch from work, I'll see if it's all ok still.

In addition to this, when it froze, most of the time it seemed to have my previous calls up on the screen, which is weird.

It may be that it doesnt like just pressing the hang up button on the side, and then just leaving it. Not sure, but that's a possibility.

As for software, no, nothing has been installed yet at all. Which is weird, so it isnt down to any external software.

Also, I should note that when it froze, 5 minutes after having it, I turned 3G reception back on (I turned it off so I didnt miss calls - and I never did on the other one afaik)

So maybe that was also a factor.

Only time will tell, but I will test it for 2 days or something, like I said, and see how it goes, because I really dont want to give the phone back.q
