Guest amnesia Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Firstly... apologies for the 'same old' questions - I did do a search but couldn't find exactly what I was after. I bought an unbranded, SIM free, i-Mate SP5 last weekend and it's great, but I have a feeling that, at the moment, my smartphone is smarter than me  I have installed the T-mobile settings and certifictate installer from the i-mate website but have a few questions before I get 'advanced' and mess everything up completely. 1) Where is the registry stored on the SP5, and how do I back it up before I start hacking / unlocking it ? 2) Are there any good QVGA homescreens about yet ? Most of the ones I can find are for the lower resolution devices, not 320x240. 3) What software do I need to design my own homescreens (eg change positions of icons, fonts, functions etc) ? Is it as simple as editing the XML of an existing homescreen ? 4) Is there any software that I really should not be without on my phone ? I have seen BatteryPack Pro on several websites and it seems to be really useful. Are there any others ? What office-type apps do people recommend. That's it (for now)... Once again, apologies if these are common questions, but I can't find that many SP5 users about. Maybe I will produce a SP5 users' guide once I have answers to my questions ;) Regards, Daniel.

I don't think you'll get too many replies cus those questions get asked all the time. You'll find them if you search long enough.

I was wondering which HTC model the SP5 is based on ;) Thank you.
