Guest Brycey03 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Ive just changed from an Orange C500 to the C600 so I used Orange Backup to store all my contacts so I could 'Restore' them all from Orange but I cant find how or where to do it in my C600. Outlook hates my C500 and I cant back them up onto my computer so I used the Orange restore to do it instead.
Guest Funster Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 It's not on the C600, a real pain. :x I had to go down the Outlook route and it wasn't pretty. Why they chose to remove it is beyond me. It was a great feature of the previous SPVs, shame. At least you get a copy of Outlook with the phone so it could be worse. Good luck. Funster
Guest Amun.hidden1 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 just a fast noob question about the last comment ;) : about the version of outlook that came with the c600, does it also come with some version for the mobile itself? cuz i already had outlook installed in my PC so i did not install it...was that installer suppose to setup some mobile outlook to the device ?

It only setups of Outlook on the PC. If you've got Outlook already installed then ActiveSync should pick it up and you can choose to sync the Contacts and whatever else like Calender and Tasks also from within ActiveSync. Hope that's clear.

So as long as actice sync is working ok, you dont need to upgrade. but may miss some of the newer features for example in contacts you can assign a contact picture in outlook, and this will become the callid picture on the phone.
