Guest s4czech Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Is their a way to set the time of a smartphone via the cellular system? (not just via NTP server) I found a few NTP server programs to set the time. http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail....teid=279&id=769 http://msmobiles.com/news.php/4068.html It would be much nicer if it was like the Nokia though where the time was set via the Cellular Providers network. This would make it so when you land in various time zones the clock is automatically adjusted accordingly.
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 My smartphone was set to automatically update the time and date off the network by default. Go to Start - Settings - More - Phone Settings - Other and set Time to Auto. Hope that helps. ;)
Guest matthius Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Thanks for the suggestion SinisterJunkie but this doesn't work on my Cingular 2125 (I'm assuming they probably don't work under WM5 in general). Does anyone have any other idea's, I've been looking for a solution to this problem for awhile myself. It seems that there should be a registry key for it or something but I haven't found it. Does anyone have access to any documentation that explains all of the built in registry keys? - Matt My smartphone was set to automatically update the time and date off the network by default. Go to Start - Settings - More - Phone Settings - Other and set Time to Auto. Hope that helps. :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest 99slt Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 The 2125 uses active sync and your pc time to set the time on your phone
