Guest scott_b Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Hey all, just got my M5000 yesterday so relatively new to the smartphone - have always used P910 etc. Im just a bit concerned because it seems to be running very slowly at times and when i check the SP Task Mgr the phys. mem is down to 8%! When this happens i just reset the phone and it obviously closes down all the processes and apps and it works grand. Is this ok to be doing? Just to note i do try and use the Task Mgr to close some of the processes or apps that are hogging the memory but when it gets to this state the program wont even open! Any help is much appreciated.
Guest FrankyG Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 First, change the homescreen to something other than the default Orange one. Then go into settings, sytem, error reporting and DISABLE error reporting. Do both of these and your Device should run quicker. HTH

But not quite sure how to change the homescreen... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> start menu - settings - Today, then select anything other than the Orange homescreen. The error reporting can be found under the system tab. Cheers...
