Guest Trombone Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Hi there I have been playing around with settings on my new SPV C600 - I was looking at Call Barring and stupidly changed a setting. The phone then tried to communicate with Orange to set the change. It asked for a barring password which I guessed was 1111 (All the other security codes were defaulted to this). All seemed fine so I decided to change back to the default setting. Now when I go into Call Barring screen the phone tries to download the settings from the network and then I get an error saying the settings could not be opened! I am now pulling my hair out and would appreciate any advice!!! Thanks in advance....
Guest Trombone Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 OK In case there are any other fiddlers here is a solution.... Performing a hard reset has not worked. I had to put my SIM card into an old Nokia and deactivate call barring from there. When the SIM was put back into the SPV I could once again view the barring options!
