Data base on pocket pc

Hi

I have an orange M500 and I would like some advice or help, Ihave a database at work which is in office access, this contains all my contact and site details etc. In the car this info is kept in 2 lever arch files, which as you can imagine is pain to use and cumbersome. Is it possible to put this data base on a memory card and access this on my device, would I need special software or can it be done directly?.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated

Export the database to and Excel spreadsheet and use a viewer to view the spreadsheet on your PPC.

it depends on the type of database you are talking about

for example if it is a proper database (SQL Server) then there is a SQL Server CE available for pocket PC and WM5 based smartphones

I have downloaded hanDbase and will see how this works , also the office have put the info into exel so i'll have a go at reading with pocket exel.

just a quick update on the access programmes. I tried to use handebase but this was much too confusing for a simlpleton like me, so I went back to that link from Confusious and found some software called data on the run, it only cost £9 from Handango it works a treat and has full backup from the manufactures biomobility.com. its well worth checking out if you want to look at access files on your pda.
