Guest Jadugarr Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 How can I close (shut down) a running application on SPV C600 ? The applications that came with the phone (e.g. Solitaire, Bubble Breaker, File Explorer, etc) don't have a quit commnand. If I press the Home Button, the homescreen appears, but the application is still running. I can only close it using Task Manager. Is there any other way to close it ? 3rd party applications, like Smart Explorer, have a Quit command.

Guest GrahamMW Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Set Task Manager up as a Speed Dial key

If assigned a keypad shortcut this makes for a very easy way of closing running programs. However I thingk xBar 3 (http://xetranet.free.fr/xbar2/?lang=eng&project=xBar%202#) is by far the best task switcher with many other useful features such as adding the ability to cut and paste. And fantastic value too - best app I've ever bought for my SmartPhone.
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Just assign the standard task manager as a speed dial (number 8 for example). Then if you want to close all apps simply: Hold number 8 to open task manager and press number to close all apps. click OK to accept, and then press home to go back to the home screen. It takes seconds to do. ;)
