Hi I have an orange spv c550 windows 2003 and activesync v4.1

The phone will connect and synchronise without any problems but I want to take a back up of my storage card but the backup option in the tools menu is greyed out!

I have bought a 1GB miniSD and wanted to copy all the files from my current card onto the new one. I thought of just copying everything to my PC but there is one file on the storage card that can't be moved in a folder called Assets. The file in question is called thumbs.db

I would however prefer to back-up my storage card and restore to my new one as I am not sure whether the programs will continue to work once they have been copied over the the PC or not

Does anyone have the solution

Bugger it only seems to backup the phone card not the miniSD storage card! Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site ;)

The backup feature os Activesync is not compatable with the Smartphone. It's designed for the Pocket PC.

What you need is an app like Sprite Backup.

Just use Activesync and copy the card to the PC.

Another option is to use a card reader.
