I finally got my new Cingular 2125 and I love it. One thing I'm trying to figure out and could use some help on is what file in the windows directory of the phone is the wallpaper for the screen that shows when an incoming call is ringing (before I answer it)? I'm trying to make all the wallpapers on the phone the same, but I have to know which file is responsible for that wallpaper. By default it is just a white screen. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hi. Welcome to MoDaCo. ;)

Let me guess...

If the Cingular2125 have the same registry structure as non-WM5 device for the Call alert, then this may be it. Verify the value data of 'BKBitmapFile' under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:Callalert

You need a registry editor to view the values. Once you have identified the bitmap file used, say \Windows\incoming.gif, then it will be then easy for you to change the value data to your desired graphic file.

If that doesn't help, we gonna have to wait for WM5 users for their suggestions. :D

ok, that looks like it worked. the string value was not in there so i just created it. I can use any image as long as its in the windows directory. the only problem now is that it only uses a portion of the image i point it to. do you know the proper size of the image to use on the incoming call alert screen?
