Guest Pondrew Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Hi and welcome to the site. Unfortunately I don't think what you suggest would be possible. I would suggest trying to get a newer generation Smartphone like the SPV C500 or even the C600. I do understand what you're saying though as the older devices were pretty special. Sometimes it's difficult to move on! ;) Moved to Smartphone Help & Advice
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) I know what you mean, I've stopped at the E200 and that's as far as I'd want to go. Why because I've still got the external SD slot? I've still got the connection at the bottom of the phone which means I can use a plug in keyboard and connect to my PC with wifi at the same time. So rather than try upgrading your hardware to later standard why not look at an E200 or if you could get hold of one a Sagem MyX7 then you could even have wifi, and annoy all the C600 owners. For me a lot of the move to a mini SD card and a mini USB slave socket were both retrograde steps. No doubt the SD card was partly to stop us all getting wifi, after all no Wifi xard manufacturer would invest enough when the slot itself was outdated. It's no doubt why we've never seen an E200 driver. Edited January 16, 2006 by Alex_le_brit
