Input language (not T9)

Been searching for an answer to this, but perhaps "Input language" is not the right term...

How can I change the char set when writing messages on WM? Meaning, when repeatedly taping the "2" key, I get the chars A, B, C and 2. I would like to add the nordic characters to that list, so that I can write Å and Ä without having to go to the special character list.

I have tried to change the languange on the phone, but the writing system is not affected by this.

How to change this?

I think the feature is ROM-dependent. Take the case of Qtek7070 ROM. It has characters as Å and Ä without going thru the special characters list as opposed to Orange ROMs where you have to access the characters list button first to get say Å when writing a message.

No idea how to do it with tweaks or file patching. ;)

I have a swedish ROM on my SP5 (there are a few other languages availible aswell), but there are still no special characters there.

Does anyone else know anything about this? I can't believe that this is inpossible, since it has worked on every phone. This makes messaging a pain in the a**. ;)
