qtek 8310 orange plugin?

hi folks,

i tried to install several homescreens for my device, but the most and the finest hs use this orange shortcut plugin...where can i get that plugin? or is there an application that replaces the orange plugin?

You cannot get the plugin without an Orange phone and I don't know of anything similar on the market ;)

The closest would probably be Facade (with the launcher tab) by SBSH

DiscoStu is absolutely right, if any HS requires Abaxia aka Orange plug in, you woon't be able to use that screen. However, there are few screens out there that mimicks Orange plug in, see Vista Desktop at the following link:

I fyou keep on checking Nectun site, you will come across more skins. You may also want to check jdskins.com site. I personally don't care much about this type of setting as I need much more info on my HS since I just moved from pocket pc side. Therefore, I love a free plug in called Facade which can display calendar/Tasks as well as program launcher bar on your HS. If you wish, you may want to check out some nice skins here but you will need free Facade (at least for now) plug in and in certain cases add'l plug ins as required by the particular skin you want to install:

Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, I don't know anymore HS sites other than what I had already mentioned. I would strongly recommend visiting frequently at Nectun, JDskins site as they update HS everyday and of course MODACO's QVGA download site. There is another site, not sure if I mentioned before or not but good HS:

also on coolsmartphone's main page, scroll down 3/4 of the page and in the left column you will see a heading "Sex up your phone" and under that heading are listed many HS sites, link to maun page for coolsmartphone is:

Sorry guys but the Orange plugin is copyrighted and they have asked us, if not actually demanded, to remove any references to it being hacked out of the standard Orange homescreens.

Any other site hosting same is liable to have Orange's legal beagles get medieval on its ass !

Thanks Disco Stu. I should have known that ;) but when you download the file from the link, it says something like Jrulez.cab. I was under the impression that someone finally found the code for Ornage plug in. I have not installed on my phone so I had no clue if it was not something similar to Orange but is the SAME plug in. Get rid of the link if its going to cause trouble in my opinion.

Well guys there is a way to use the orange homescreen on a non orange device without breaking any copyright laws or hacking code.

As long as you have an orange device you can see here for a how too guide:

just remember that you only have one licence agreement to the software, and therefore can only use on one device at any one time.

ooops i'm sorry stu...i've just put it in because in the forum where i've found it there was a post containing that it's not a pirated one but free distribution update..maybe i misunderstood it

I too highly recommend Facade. It looks great, and shows a lot of information.
