Did a recent MS update screw up AS again?

WM5 phone with AS4.1:

All over sudden I'm unable to synchronize contacts with pictures, appointments with additional textnotes and tasks with additional notes. They just do not sync to my phone. Also SmartphoneNotes is unable to send new notes to my phone.

Now I didn't change anything, that's for sure. But on 5 and 11 january security patches were installed by MS, one of them specificaly for Outlook 2003. Why is CraptiveSync messed up again? It was running so nicely. This is so frustrating....
