Guest nitramk Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) Hi! I've for the last month worked with this project in C#. It's a RSS-client for Windows Mobile 5 enabled smartphones with QVGA screens. It is called moRSS. I have tested it on my Qtek 8300 (HTC Tornado) and it works nice 8) NOTE! that you need to have .net cf 2 installed on your device to make this app work. Please report bugs and remember that suggestions are always welcome! / Martin Kaldma admin (at) hejhej.org [updated with screenshots] moRSS_setup.CAB Edited January 17, 2006 by nitramk

Guest Cantello Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 How to install .NET framework on a phone (Qtek 8310) without wasting 2MB for it? I have little program memory left, so I'd avoid anstlling it to the main RAM.

I know there is an option to install the framework on the sd-card of the phone but it wont help by more then a few kb. On my Qtek 8300 i've installed all other applications on my sd-card and then I've installed cf2 on the device. Maybe someone could write a hack or something that helps this problem of?

Is there any way to display what takes up the most of this valuable memory so I can selectively de-install things? I'd really like to try out moRSS! :-) Helge.

I've learn that the IE saves very much of the data to the temporary internet files which is good as long as it isn't effecting too much on your available memory. This app : Pocket IE files on Storage Card Patch allows you to store your temp internet files on the Storage Card instead of the main memory. Another suggestion is to manually browse the files and deleta old program files and files that not is in use. PS. A new version of moRSS is soon out with among other things a new and much better handling of channels and automatic updates!
