For my C500 I went to Binary's on my pc and downloaded the smart explorer software. As it downloaded it automatically went onto my C500 where it ran with no problems. Now I've just upgraded to C600 I went to Binarys.com again and downloaded the software (2.1.4). The pc downloads the software, I click on install etc and then at the end I click on finish. And that's it. My C500 at this point back in the day asked me to do the final step and choose where to instsall my application (SD or phone memory) but on the C600 nothing. I then tried downloading the older version 2.1.1 but exactly the same happened. Core TCPMP has installed on the phone with no problems so I've no idea what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone please put me out of my ignorant misery!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 I do not have a C600 to try this on but it could be a bug in the latest version as it certainly sounds as if everything is ok. The only times you should not have the install location message is if the card is not inserted in the phone correctly (or missing). Try contacting the developer as they will probably be able to help you.
Guest amnesia Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I saw another thread with this query... the .exe installed wouldn't work on a WM5 device. Just use the .CAB instead - should work fine (did on my SP5) :)
