Guest MrFanel Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 (edited) So my phone just suddenly stopped vibrating when getting text messages or getting various alarms. When I recieve a phone call, it vibrates just fine, but when I get a text message it stopped vibrating. My current settings is "VIBRATE" under notifications and alarms with no sounds. I am also using "Alien Invention 2" as my home screen skin. Also - my LED only blinks green and does not blink blue for when I have Bluetooth on. Also when it charges it does not change to orange. All of that used to work just dandy before. Anyone has an idea what causing this? Edited January 17, 2006 by MrFanel
Guest elliotboney Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 i could have sworn your phone was dead last week. Anyways, seems like there is a registry tweak for the vibrate on text message and stuff, search the forums and i think you can find it. Its in the same part of registry where you change the "script" for your ringer or alarm so it repeats itself. as with the light and stuff, that is REALLY weird. I switched from the cingular rom that my phone came with to the ATT rom because its basically the same OS, but lots of settings are locked in the cingular version like the ability to manually select networks. I have also noticed there are a lot less annoying little bugs than with the cingular good luck buddy

Also - my phone got fixed ;). And finally - is there a recommended registry tweaker I can use?
Guest elliotboney Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 search for the rom on the spv-developers forum you are registered on, if you can't find it, pm me and i can give you a link to the thread on there that discusses it

A new home screen and the phone is as good as new ;)
Guest elliotboney Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 the ATT file was rebootin your phone? I know the cingular is an image file meant to write to an SD card to flash using that method, or use typhoonnbftools to take the OS out of it and use that to flash those homescreens will getcha eL

When I tried to do an emergency flash it will not even do that (altough it passes the test, it had some kind of an internal error). It's okay though - the phone works now and the reception is excellent, so for now I will use it as it is sine it does all I need. I will eventually get the SP5 when it goes down in price a bit. I've always been a flip phone fan so this is my return to the brick phones and I am getting used to it still ;)
