Guest M@rkC Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 WM5 QVGA Free <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm, not sure about all of those preferences, but http://www.slipstreamsolutions.co.uk/products/myIP.htm offers Ping, DNS resolution etc (and a 15-day trial to see if it really does work ;))....all for a paltry $8.49 - about £5 in old money..... Any good? Mark.

Guest kkrull Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 Should myIP be able to ping my VPN? I am having VPN and Exchange connection problems and am trying to nail down the exact issue. My notebook PC doesn't ask for a port and it can ping my vpn, both by the vpn.name... and hard IP. My phone on the other hand can't ping either but asks for a port. Should I change the port from my phone? Is there a chance that the phone is firewalling the VPN? Also myIP looks funny on my WM5 smartphone at 320x140 resolution. Any other recommendations? A tracert program would be nice as well.
Guest jack Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 If you take a look on your Tornado's Smartphone Windows folder you might find a program very interesting.. It is called NetworkTestSp.exe this offers you the possibility to ping some host on the internet and also on a local network if you are connect to one of this two.

I get "Establish Connection Fail !" Can anyone else get it to work?
Guest bchenoweth Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 (edited) Great tip..but it doesn't work on my i-mate SP5! I get "Establish Connection Fail !" Can anyone else get it to work? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was receiving the same thing with my Imate SP5 but played around with it. Go to advanced settings change ConnInfo: Priority to 08000.User interactive. After changing it to this I was able to ping inside and outside IP's using WIFI. I also tried using Cingular's EDGE network and it also worked. Edited February 25, 2006 by bchenoweth
